Terms and Conditions

By booking a cookery course with us you agree to abide by our terms and conditions.

Included for your use during the course

Ingredients, utensils, equipment, boxes/ foil dishes to cook your food and take it home in, aprons

Booking and Payment

To book a course please contact Jill via email, OR ring Jill on 01253 728198. All payments should be made in full within 7 days of organising a course. After that your chosen date and time cannot be guaranteed. If you are booking a ‘Kids Party’ a 50% deposit is required with full payment 4 weeks before the event.

Once a booking has been taken payment is required to secure the date of your course. Payment can be made via online banking, cheque or cash

Once payment in full has been paid we will confirm by post with details of your course.

Gift Vouchers

Gift vouchers are sent by post. Gift vouchers are supplied with an expiry date of 12 months. Please ensure that you book a course before the the end of the expiry, otherwise the gift voucher will be deemed invalid.

Gift vouchers are non-refundable.

Additional – Due to Covid 19 the expiry date for recent purchase of vouchers has been extended to 18 months.

Cancellation by Client

We have a strict cancellation policy. All payments are non-refundable but transferable.

If for any reason that you cannot attend the course you have booked with us, please let us know at least 7 days before the event. We will then arrange a new date for your course with you.

If a person booked onto a course fails to attend for any reason they will not be offered a refund or transferable date, unless the course is paid for again.

If you are unable to attend at short notice you are welcome to send a friend in your place. Please let us know in advance.

For large group bookings we require 28 days notice rather than 2 weeks notice to transfer.

Cancellation by us

In the unlikely event we have to cancel your course we will do our very best to offer a suitable alternative date. If that is not possible you will be entitled to a full refund. However we reserve the right to postpone courses in the event of unseen circumstances beyond our control and an alternative date will be offered. In these circumstances we will be unable to offer a refund.

Health and Safety

Please wear appropriate clothing for all cookery courses. We advise that you wear comfortable flat and closed toes shoes.
Please can we also ask that strong perfumes/aftershaves are not worn. Food can absorb strong odours and Jill has sensitivity to these products. Thanking you in anticipation of your understanding.

Special dietary and Allergy Needs

Please inform us of any special dietary or allergy requirements when booking.

Children’s Cookery Courses

Please inform us of any special dietary needs/ allergies. Or physical needs that we need to know to ensure your child has an enjoyable experience. Please also leave a contact number in case of an emergency.

Conduct

We reserve the right to ask any student to leave without reimbursement of fees if their behaviour is unsafe or unreasonable in any way.

 

Short courses (2-3 hours) Light refreshments – tea, coffee.
All day courses- Light lunch (sandwiches, cakes) drinks.
